Colossal Congress of Stuff & Things to be a Literary Magazine
Although this website has been around for four years, this is it's fourth complete redesign.
It's current incarnation is moving toward a magazine-like format: editorials, speculative fiction, poetry, and whatever may come across the Editor's desk...
Content is a bit bare at this time... like a new garden, it will need time to grow. The site's design is meant to have a unique oddness, not influenced by anything else.
(Visit most websites and you visit dozens of others at the same time via "the host cloud." Every hosting company tracks each of your visits to all of the websites that host with them.
(The Internet appears to be "a maze of twisty passages all different," but in actuality is "a maze of twisty passages all alike."
(And digression is something a writer should attempt to refrain from.)
What Matters is Content not Concept
This site's look is purposefully minimalist. Reader's eyes should be able to locate a magazine's content clearly and with ease. The purpose of anything else is to compliment that content, to perhaps provide for pleasant surroundings. Toward blandness is the better lean. Readers are wanted, not visitors.
This site does not yet have staying power. People may occasionally look this way, but few will come back as there is not enough here for people to linger. I will attempt to fix that.
There is a phrase that has been lingering just over my shoulder for a long time, one that sometimes causes me to stumble. But I shall end with it here.
